Family Event: Children’s Book Launch, Saturday 30 May, 2:30pm - 4pm
Join us at Wylie’s Baths for the launch of a beautiful new children’s book inspired by pioneering Australian swimmers Fanny Durack and Mina Wylie.
In 1912, when women were first allowed to compete, Australia hesitated to send them. Determined to change that, they won gold and rewrote history.
This special event brings their story to life in the very place it all began.
Enjoy a live reading, meet the author, and share in a story of courage, friendship, and determination.
A meaningful day out for families, and a story worth supporting for the wider community.
Free event. Bookings essential. Limited capacity.
Discover Sydney's Most Beautiful Ocean Pool
Perched on the cliffs between Coogee and Clovelly, Wylie's Baths is one of Sydney's most unique ocean pools. Established in 1907 by champion long-distance swimmer Henry Alexander Wylie, the baths have welcomed generations of swimmers seeking a peaceful connection with the ocean.
Visitors can enjoy a 50-metre ocean pool, sun-drenched timber decks, spectacular coastal views, a café kiosk, massage studio, swimming clubs, learn-to-swim programs and venue hire for private events. Beneath the water's surface, the baths are home to a thriving marine ecosystem where fish, sea urchins and even the occasional octopus can be spotted.
